A few weeks back I introduced you to our friends , The Green Air Project.

The Green Air Project lets individuals and businesses reduce their environmental impact by giving them a means to offset their CO2 output (or carbon footprint) down to zero in most cases in a cost effective and positive way.

When you donate to the Green Air Project you are planting trees. The trees return nitrogen back into the soil which makes for better farming, give us oxygen for breathing and they remove pollutants from the air.

I joined the Green Air Project and planted a tree.

What does this mean, it means that I have started to offset my carbon footprint. The more trees you plant the more you offset.

How does this benefit you or your business?

Individuals and businesses can benefit in several ways…
  • the opportunity to become carbon neutral
  • positive marketing exposure through Green Air
  • Increase your business’s credibility
  • making a tangible, positive impact on our world
  • Deepen existing relationship with consumers
  • Appeal to “green” consumers

Individuals and businesses can track their tree(s) by entering their unique validation code into the bottom of the website.

Every individual/business gets their own profile with their specific name/company name so that they can share their profile with others.

my medallion, click to see my profile!

In order to share your profile all you have to do is login to the site and copy/past the HMTL code found under the “Co2 Certified” website medallion. Just copy/paste it into your blog/facebook/website and people will be able to click on the medallion and be taken straight to your personal profile where they can see your efforts.

This is important and makes a big difference because it gives the you the credibility to show that you have actually planted trees. Green Air is different in this way because they offer that validation it can be shared with family/friends and business colleagues, associates and clients.

People reduce, reuse and recycle which are all great initiatives that we should all be doing, but realistically those things are just reducing a negative. We need to reduce the negative AND enact a positive so that we can make a bigger impact and minimize our carbon footprints even more.
Planting trees is that positive action!

The average person only needs to plant one tree a month to offset their carbon footprint.

Plant a tree with Green Air Project and get your code today,

type in your code at GreenAirProject.org and watch your tree grow!

  1. This kind a program really scares me. Without a plan, programs like this can be a net detriment to the environment. Do you know where the trees are being planted?
